A bedroom scene with a woman with tattoos lying in bed with a tattooed partner, who is lying near her. The bed has white sheets, and there is a large brass-framed mirror reflecting the woman. A tall green plant and a decorative sunburst mirror adorn the wall. The room has brick walls, a window with blinds, and warm lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere.

~ Marta, owner of elma healing + esthetics

A young woman with light skin, long blonde hair with darker roots, and multiple tattoos on her arm and stomach. She is smiling and looking slightly to the right. She wears a nose ring, layered necklaces, a black crop top, a white jacket draped over her shoulders, and light blue jeans, standing against a white wall.

Marta’s journey in the skin and wellness industry is a testament to the resilience, hard work, and determination that runs deep in her family. Inspired by her mother—the best esthetician she has ever known—and her immigrant parents who came to America from Poland with nothing, Marta grew up witnessing what it means to pursue the true American dream. Despite not knowing the language or having a community, her parents built one of their own through sheer perseverance and tenacity.

She carries this legacy with pride, honoring not only her parents but also her ancestors who, due to wars or political regimes, were unable to pursue such dreams. Marta approaches her work with the same resilience and determination her family embodies, driven by a passion for helping people recognize their worth and embrace self-love.

Her career took her through various spas in the city, including a green spa where she gained valuable insights into clean beauty. Despite these experiences, she felt a vital piece was missing, a combination of professionally backed skincare expertise and the trusted guidance of an esthetician who had personally undergone a transformative skin healing journey.

When COVID ended, Marta seized the opportunity to open Elma Healing + Esthetics, a space where her vision of holistic skincare and healing came to life. Combining her personal journey with advanced training, Marta offers treatments that go beyond skincare. Her facials are a form of bodywork, providing a space where clients can let their bodies heal themselves, with Marta serving as a compassionate guide.

Continuing education is a cornerstone of Marta's practice, ensuring she remains at the forefront of her field. In 2017, she became a certified permanent makeup artist, showcasing her artistry in eyebrow enhancements. Her previous role as a brow expert for a major cosmetics company, specializing in eyebrow waxing and shaping, further demonstrates her dedication to excellence.

At Elma, Marta combines her deep understanding of skincare with her commitment to holistic healing. Every treatment is customized, using high-quality products and advanced techniques like intraoral (buccal) massage and lymphatic drainage to achieve radiant, nourished skin. Her approach leaves clients feeling transformed both inside and out—a deeply nourishing and rejuvenating experience that embodies Marta’s belief in self-love, resilience, and holistic wellness.
